The HESI Board of Trustees is currently comprised of sixteen representatives from the public sector and fifteen representatives of HESI’s member companies.  The Chair and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees are public trustees, and serve two-year terms.  The President and Vice President are trustees from the membership, and also serve two-year terms.  Terms of the Chair and President (and Vice Chair and Vice President) rotate on alternate years.  Other officers of the Board of Trustees include a Secretary and a Treasurer, both of whom serve for two years.  Nominations for new trustees to the Board come from the HESI membership as well as current public and member trustees of the Board.  The HESI Assembly of Members approves the roster of nominees to the Board at the Annual Meeting.  HESI officers are elected by the Board at the Annual Meeting. The Board of Trustees provides leadership to HESI, partly through its Executive Committee and Board committees, which address communications, finance, membership development, program strategy and stewardship, and scientific meeting programs.
