A number of different organizations within NAFTA countries are responsible for safety assessment of products of agricultural biotechnology.  On April 15, 2008, the International Life Sciences Institute held a meeting which provided a forum for individuals from these organizations to learn about ILSI’s biotechnology activities.  It also provided an opportunity for ILSI and all attendees to better understand the regulatory, research, and development priorities and challenges for biotechnology within the organizations across the region.
