Each year, HESI seeks broad input on emerging scientific issues that merit consideration for potential program development. In 2006, HESI conducted its annual survey for emerging scientific issues. From this survey, the HESI Emerging Issues Steering Committee (EISC) selected three topics for consideration in 2007. These topics were presented at the January 2007 HESI Annual Meeting in Cancun, Mexico.
