Membership Information
HESI membership is open to companies that are producers of food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, agricultural and other industrial chemicals, paper products, personal care and household products, communications products, transportation products, or energy products, or of ingredients or containers used in, or in connection with these products. Providers of scientific and technical services used in the safety testing or production of these products or in the assessment of the human health and environmental safety of these products are also eligible. Committees are formed when a sufficient number of companies identify an issue of concern to the public and the membership that can be addressed through scientific efforts.
Membership Fees
HESI’s basic annual membership fees are based on members’ worldwide sales (most recently available year-end figures). The current fee schedule is shown on the membership application. Annual dues for membership are determined by the HESI Board of Trustees. Separate assessments are made for committee membership and support of their activities; such assessments are determined by the committee members themselves.
